4. 5. Personalized Project Builder – Through this option, you can build the type of resource that best serves your purposes at a given point in time.  Personalized project are independently quoted based on depth, breadth, and complexity of request.
• Perhaps a customized report or specific resource inquiry followed by some direct connect time to discuss the findings
• The personalized project builder option allows you to custom design a project resource that best fits your specific needs, timeline, and budget
• These can also be iterative so as to allow you to maximize how and where you apply the output over time

Once you have selected the product and/or service that best fits your information needs the following three easy steps is all it takes to get you on your way to data driven decision making:

Step 1 – Complete the request form below with your contact information and project selection.  Please provide us as much detail as possible when completing your project description as this will help us to best frame and expedite your project request.  Following receipt of your request, it may be necessary to contact you so as to better help us understand your project needs and develop an appropriate project work order.

Step 2 – Once a work order has been developed and reviewed, we will forward it to you for your approval.  This is your opportunity to fine tune your request so as to ensure that your specific questions/request best reflects your needs.  At this stage, you can provide additional information and/or fine tune your request and return it to us for re-review.  Once the work order meets with your satisfaction, you can approve it to initiation of the work process.

Step 3 – Upon approval, you will receive a PayPal link for your work order. Once we have received notification of payment, your work order will begin and proceed as per the work order instructions and time line.  When your work order is complete, you will receive a notice and a confirmation as to delivery of your work order.

Spotlight:

Dr. Ronald Dorenbos is an accomplished international Project Leader in the Biotech and Pharmaceutical Industry who has worked with different companies and institutes throughout Europe and the US such as Harvard, Genencor, and Novo Nordisk. Dr. Dorenbos brings his wealth of life science expertise and experience to our Biomedical Science Core as well as lending his multidisciplinary project management experience toward supporting the company’s business development efforts through directly contributing to global e-marketing efforts that serve to improve the visibility of the company world wide.

Dr. Dorenbos also currently serves as a project leader at RXi Pharmaceuticals leading a collaboration with the neurology department at the University of Massachusetts Medical School to develop RNAi-based therapeutics for Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Dr. Dorenbos has a versatile background in areas such as project management, business development, R&D, consulting, and marketing and has worked in the Netherlands, the UK, Italy, and the United States.

Interesting:

Dr. Dorenbos is originally from the Netherlands, speaks multiple languages, has authored (or co-authored) 8 research publications as well as a book chapter, and has been a featured scientific presenter at meetings and conferences for such prestigious organizations as the Society for Neuroscience, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and the European Bacillus Secretion Group. Additionally, Dr. Dorenbos was a member of the life science and networking panels at the Boston Seminar organized by the Dutch Government.

Apart from science, another passion of Dr. Dorenbos is music. He plays the clarinet and several other instruments and manages the Clarinet LinkedIn Group that has members from all over the world.

Background:

Dr. Dorenbos started his professional education in chemistry, but soon switched to biotechnology, recognizing the growth and potential of this field. He started this study in the Netherlands, and finished it in the UK at the De Montfort University in Leicester. Upon his return to the Netherlands he continued with Molecular Biology and subsequently did his Ph.D. in the Netherlands at the University of Groningen, studying disulfide bond formation in proteins in Bacillus subtilis.

Realizing that he wanted to work on challenges more closely related to human health he decided to make a career change and accepted a position at the neurobiology department of Harvard Medical School to perform research related to Parkinson’s disease. This led to his current position at RXi Pharmaceuticals. Recognizing the importance of bringing developments from the lab to the patient, Dr. Dorenbos joined forces with Munevar & Associates, Inc. to contribute towards its mission of bridging bench to bedside.

Additionally, Michael is an experienced national and international consultant in New Market Risk Analysis (NMRA), where he has assisted start-ups as well as small to medium size bio-pharma companies in projects involving sales, marketing, and corporate development.

Michael Kaiser’s expertise in identifying the right fit between large multinationals and start-ups is an important asset in an industrial sector where successful outcomes are determined by breakthrough research, technology and commercial factors. In addition to being an Executive Panelist with the McKinsey Quarterly, he delivered several guest speaker lectures on global business strategies at Babson University and Bentley University, both in the Boston area.

• Shifting Sands in Life Sciences Funding and Commercialization

Dr. Ray is the current Director of our Future Labs bio-computing resource. Computation is rapidly becoming a n integral pa rt of life science research and development. Over the next decade, organizations that best integrate the use of bio-computation into their r esearch and development efforts will benefit greatly from leveraging this vastly powerful tool. Dr. Ray has consulted previously on drug discovery and medicinal chemistry (among others) for a variety of well known companies. Dr. Ray now brings his wealth of expertise and experience to our team providing a powerful resource toward assisting client’s with their therapeutics development challenges.

Interesting:

In collaboration with Massachusetts General Hospital labs, Dr. Ray’s academic lab has pioneered discovery of molecules that have shown promise in treatment of Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). These molecules have been licensed out to pharmaceutic al companies in the Boston area for pre-clinical development. In addition to his academic drug discovery interest, Dr. Ray is also the Co-founder Stemetix Pharmaceutical.

Background:

Dr. Ray is also currently an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Harvard University. His research is primarily focused on developing new computational and experimental technology to facilitate small molecule discovery in neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson’s disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and Alzheimer’s disease. Prior to his appointment at Harvard, Dr. Ray studied at The Rockefeller University in New York where he received his doctorate in Protein Crystallography and Biophysics.

  • Thesis work focused on the novel design of antibacterial agents to target MRSA

Though his primary focus is still neurodegenerative diseases, more recently Dr. Ray’s laboratory has been investigating the mechanistic details of protein kinases that are shared between neurological diseases and cancer.
